The incident at Sassarini School makes me think that we should all remind our children never ever to get in the car of a stranger, not even if they say they need help finding a puppy or for any reason.

Of all of the incidents reported this week, the one that stands out is the eleven year old who was approached by a stranger in a car and offered a ride home when she was leaving school. Luckily the eleven year old was calm and said NO. But I hope the school is reviewing the situation and having the teachers talk about it with the students in their classes.

I agree. The safety of young people is paramount. Not only should the school review the situation with the teachers, but perhaps they should schedule a parents' meeting to discuss the potential abduction of a youngster.
